October 11, 201411 yr Author I pretty much left settings on default. Here are some pics, taken at about 2500'... Don't suppose there's any way to use this files over in X-Plane is there? What is the default resolution setting ? Yes you can use them in X plane with FS2XP i use it. But why use low res in XPX , download at higher resolution and then use FS2XP and it give you the scenery. Nice shots. Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus
October 11, 201411 yr Im going to do a higher resolution... Just left things at default to see if I could generate scenery. Off to get FS2XP now.
October 11, 201411 yr German Alps: http://www.distancesfrom.com/alps-Germany-latitude-longitude-alps-Germany-latitude-alps-Germany-longitude/LatLongHistory/396112.aspx I think you need to use degrees, minutes and seconds and you are using decimal coordinates like in my link above.

German Alps: http://www.distancesfrom.com/alps-Germany-latitude-longitude-alps-Germany-latitude-alps-Germany-longitude/LatLongHistory/396112.aspx I think you are using a different set of data. Hmm, these Alps are closer to Munich. Bavarian Alps Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus
October 11, 201411 yr I cant seem to get the FS2XP working. I get a "no data" error. The help file says it ignores FSX photoscenery. Any idea what I may be doing wrong? I followed the help file, to no avail. (Now just watch, after I post this, go back and try it again, it'll work. Some kind of DUH moment, never fails)

'. why not download for fs2004 at a higher res and then use FS2XP. I don't have Fsx anymore I threw it out the window Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus
October 11, 201411 yr OK.. Ill give it a try. I don't have FSX installed, either. Im completely over to P3Dv2.4 and X-Plane.
October 11, 201411 yr Hmm, these Alps are closer to Munich. OK one more time. I don't care what Alps you are talking about, you are trying to enter the wrong data format into the FSET interface. That is why you are getting the invalid message. Use the correct degrees, minutes, seconds format and it will work and FSET will go to whatever portion of the Alps you wish, it is not an error in FSET. If you are using decimal degrees then you need to convert that data format into the degrees, minutes, seconds format first and in that format there is no second or third data point greater than 60, ever.
October 11, 201411 yr I downloaded an area at the highest resolution, and this is what I got... https://www.dropbox.com/s/08ht1v2z4h9hyfp/Halifax4.jpg?dl=0 Again, this is flying at about 2300' in P3dV2.4. Thing is, any area larger than this takes forever to process. Looks like Im gonna have to set it up before I go to bed and let it run. I'd like to do the entire Nova Scotia. Am I allowed to distribute this stuff free?

October 12, 201411 yr Read last few comments above mine. Was about use in FSX/P3D and X-Plane. Just commenting that this is the FS2004 forum and as such things should not get so sidetracked on other versions of flight sims. This should be a drug, FSX, P3D and X-Plane free zone.

This has nothing got to with FSX / P3d or X plane. Please read the comments properly. It is all about FS Earth tiles. Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus
October 12, 201411 yr Sorry about not being on Fs2004-related. I was just following the thread topic, didn't really notice which forum it was parked in.
