October 12, 201411 yr Author Sorry about not being on Fs2004-related. I was just following the thread topic, didn't really notice which forum it was parked in. It does not matter. He / she is not a Mod . and this thread is just about Fs Earth and how it can be used. Yes it was put under the FS9 Section because of its usage for FS9. October 12, 201411 yr It does not matter. He / she is not a Mod ....... 1. Actually, I was more Mod than Rocker 2. I reject your reality and substitute my own.
October 12, 201411 yr Author going to try openstreetmap data on the photoscenery Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus
October 12, 201411 yr Am I allowed to distribute this stuff free? No. 1. The map services will not allow it. 2. The file sets would be very large. Sorry about not being on Fs2004-related. I was just following the thread topic, didn't really notice which forum it was parked in. Don't worry about it, for sure. Keep posting your questions. In your last processing, what download resolution did you use?
October 13, 201411 yr I used setting 0, but it just took waaaay to long to process an area of any size, and often would get hung up. I still plan on playing around with it. Such a cheap alternative to commercial photoscenery is hard to pass up.

Please note that the quality will never be quite as good as commercial photo scenery, but it can be close at times.
October 14, 201411 yr Author Anyone know the correct mesh for Alaska ? No aircraft does justice for Alaska / Canada only the Beaver. Even without photo scenery Alaska looks just great. Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus
October 14, 201411 yr There are many good meshes for Alaska none of which are more correct than the other!

October 16, 201411 yr I was thinking ..... There are certain "scenes" that I like to see when I fly around my hometown. Normally, I use MSE photoscenery, but, dang, it's just so flat. There is an aluminum smelting industrial area outside town (Alcoa), that's just not duplicated in Orbx or default. I decided to run FS Earth Tiles for the just the area, but of course it comes in in a big block. Could i use a mask to outline just the industrial area around its permimeter? Sort of make an "island" among the Orbx base scenery?

October 16, 201411 yr The only thing to try is get the area you want and place it higher in your scenery library than your ORBX stuff.
