I'm flying the B1900D with Sp1 and the mods from Bert for after sp1

Also, Avidyne off and installed RXP 530

 

So I was shooting the 19L ILS (110.1/191) at KIAD

 

and the it wouldn't keep up with the G/S and was off center as well.

 

Just a real hot mess. Ended up taking me in real high.

It's not exactly the most responsive system when it comes to correcting and certainly incorporates a unique way of, finally, getting lined up (LOC). But the GS issue might well be a problem of too high approach speeds. Well, that's how it works here since I never saw the AP being able to close a vertical gap in time. So don't cause one in the first place. ^_^

 

If you want to come in faster or slow down just before the runway, hand flying is the only (and fun) solution.
