ATIS Messages

Featured Replies

Is there some way to get rid of this green monstrosity, either permanently or, second best, temporarily as it just keeps popping up and is very, very irritating and I am trying hard not to smash the keys down as I type this.Thank you CALMLY.Andy.

You may try Advdisp, available from the Pete Downson FSUIPC website.Advdisp is a text message window configurable, dockable, resizable, etc etc. ATIS will display there once installed.

here is an idea...why not turn off 'scroll messages' in the FS menu? How to do this is the MSFS Manual that you will find on your hard drive.

CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB
MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro |  GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K

Thank you to you both. I shall try all ideas!Andy.

I cannot find the Manual, either under 'all programs' or in the fs9 folder in 'program files' so further assistance needed please! or in'application data'.Andy.

The manual is built into the sim and accessed from the welcome screen or help menu. Advise you read it. Lots of good stuff in there :)Turn of ATC text from Options, settings, ATC, Show ATC Text. This will turn off ATIS scrolling text.

Ah! Little light goes on. I saw that but didn't realise it would turn off the ATIS as well. Many thanks.Andy.

Simple - don't tune COM1 to an ATIS frequency

Hi Now that cracks the code! I just thought they came up when they felt like it, just to add an annoyance factor, especially as there is no little 'x' to shut it down, but that is liberating to know about retuning!! Thank you very much. Duuhhh.Andy.
