Button for the overhead electrical panel?

Featured Replies

Is there a better way to get a better view of the overhead electrical panel than the tilted sideways view I can manage with the POV hat?  A rather important panel.

OK, let's take this one step further.  Bert,is there a way I can edit the proper cfg file so that I can use an arbitrary keyboard key command and go directly to the overhead panel view?

Check out Greenbrier Aero Club, the VA for and about the GA pilot.

Yes, I believe you can.

In the aircraft.cfg file, find the relevant Camera section and add:

HotKeySelect=n  where n is the function key you want to assign this view to.

Example:  HotKeySelect=5 would open this view with F5.

Edit:

..or so I thought.  I just tested it, and it did not work.. :unsure:

Bert

from the SDK

hotkeyselect integer 1 to 10  No default.
Links the camera to one of the 10 pre-defined key events for activating cameras; see the Control Assignments dialog.
EG:
Virtual Cockpit( HotKeySelect=1 )
Spot( HotKeySelect=2 )
Nearest Tower( HotKeySelect=3 )

f you can find the "Control Assignments dialog" you got  it...

Alternate approach is to move the Overhead panel view to the front in the Cameras sequence in the aircraft.cfg file, and change the zoom while you are at it.   If you do not use the other views, you can delete them..  Then use the "A" key once to view.

[CameraDefinition.001]
Title = "Overhead Panel"
...
InitialZoom = 0.90
