Based on the way the system currently works it is limited to 500 aerocaches TOTAL.  I think I could change the server to not report inactive AOTD, but I'm not sure how Flight will handle that.

I agree with most of what Paul is saying, but I would still prefer that all the present ones be made permanent. That way someone who has missed a bunch of them would have a chance to get them. Later on, when we are in the process of adding more user generated caches, we could look at eliminating some. Perhaps an approach would be to eliminate from the earliest working up to the newer ones to keep the total below 500.

 

I don't know how much trouble this would be to do, but it's certainly something that could be considered.

We can always make permanent aerocaches back into temporary.

I just updated the database to make all the aeroacaches permanent.  Let me know if you guys still see issues.
