was wandering if I decide to upgrade from prepar3d v1 to V2 would I have to reinstall all my scenery and other add-ons I am using

On top of that, make sure that whatever products you have are compatible with P3Dv2(.4), since it's a different platform.

It's a nobrainer, really. Unless you're hooked on PMDG (coming) and/or VRS F-18/TacPack, wich will take some time until it's available (if it does, dunno).

YES!!!!!  v2.4 is brilliant.

A better sim than FSX without any doubt but check on forums whether your stuff (aircraft, sceneries etc.)  is compatible.

Just do it and don't look back. Whatever add-ons that do not work will either eventually release P3D versions or go by the wayside.
