No Cocpit Shadow in Carenados PC12?

Recommended Posts

hello,

've bought again a new Aircraft addon. The Cocpit shadow of last Carenado projects were really fantastic.

Now I could not believe that in the new Pilatus PC12 no shadows are possible?

I think the model series of HD Carenado comes from a single designer crew.

So can not believe that now no shadows in Cocpit are in the PC12.

Even with a second addon (Alabeo-DA40) I now have no Cocpit shadow.

Depends perhaps together with the installation of the new DX10 Fixer Version 2.40.

Maybe someone has encountered these problems?

Regards, Bernd

I do not have the PC12 but was wondering if you tried to enable the shawows using the DX10 Fixer tool?

I'm very interested in this plane, but will only buy it when everything works.

Definitely has cockpit shadows in P3D v2.x -- so I would assume FSX DX10 with Steve's product (DX10 Fixer) should also.

Without meaning to be rude you need to read the manual(!) Enabling VC Shadows about page 97-99

With Steve's DX10Fixer you can turn it on. It's working. Tried it myself.

Not always the case Rob, The Eaglesoft CX has cockpit shadows in P3D but it is not possible to enable then in DX10 due to it using single sided materials to build the VC.

Same with the Aerosoft EE lightning.

Post #7 in this thread explains it better.

Force VC walls fixes single sided materials.

Which I added after the post referenced above.

The EE Lightning had an issue with a bump mapped material that didn't show shadows but I resolved that and it now works great with HD shadows.
