That should be enough to get you running at least 10 FPS in the middle of the ocean!

Ditch the Titan for a GTX 980 and you're good to go

ok but I thought the titan black was the GTX 980? isn't that the 980MHZ is? also i have read here that more video card memory is good for P3D so thats why i thought the 6gb card was better.. but I'm still in the information gathering stage!

Jim

Looks like a solid pc for prepar3d 2.4 if you dont install P3d on the Western Digital WD1003FZEX.

Dont worry about bad fps with that setup but, as usual, all depends on what you install as addon in P3d, cuz old gauges might kill any system.

Good luck

I plan on installing all new native to P3D addon's if that's what you mean..

thanks

Jim

Have a look here http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-TITAN-BLACK-vs-GeForce-GTX-980

Bear in mind that most 980's are running around 1127mhz out of the box not 980, and the 980 is about half the cost

The 980 is really good have a asus 980Strix Its faster than a heavy overclocked Titan out of the Box.

Face it, even with dual I7-5930K's running at 4.5Ghz and two GTX 980, P3D or FSX will still run rather poor compared to modern gaming titles with far superior graphics and more demanding processes. I went as crazy like you, but if it wasn't for the fact that I mostly use my system for high end video editing amd 3D modeling, I would have regretted the money I spent on it if my main focus would have been P3D. Don't expect 60fps while landing with a PMDG 737 at a detailed third party add-on of Heathrow with max settings for both graphics and AI while having third party weather engine and other things installed....not even close. ;)

Nomatter what airport I never drop under 20.

Its a darn good system.

If I were you I'd get two GTX980's instead of the Titan Black.

When I added the second 970 I got a 5-7 frame gain. (considering I'll spend 10k to get 5 knots out of my cessna, thats a cheap gain)

I would also stay away from the 6 core processor, its slower than the 4790k at single thread, you won't benefit. I did and I'm happy with my decision.

Now I just need to get a Oculus Rift... (which is what you should get over the 3rd monitor.
