Answered - Lost the text background with 2.5

Featured Replies

Big thanks for keeping the software updated and improving/adding features.

One small issue with the latest 2.5 installation (for me) is the loss of the text background colour as can be seen here. Now the text remains readable but the line in the background is gone.

Before 2.5, there was a green layer behind the text.

fsx.cfg settings haven't changed but here they are, just in case:

ActiveWindowTitleTextColor=255,255,255
ActiveWindowTitleBackGroundColor=0,28,140,64
NonActiveWindowTitleTextColor=255,255,255
NonActiveWindowTitleBackGroundColor=24,33,87,64
InfoUpperRightTextColor=255,0,0
InfoUpperRightBackGroundColor=255,0,0,128
InfoLowerLeftTextColor=255,255,255
InfoLowerLeftBackGroundColor=255,0,0,128
InfoLowerRightTextColor=255,255,255
InfoLowerRightBackGroundColor=255,0,0,128

Any ideas what setting could cause this? Happened right after installing 2.5, so there is a correlation while the causation still has to be proven of course.

This is a known side effect described in the pinned build release thread above; and is still considered "experimental."

Ah, found it. Relates to using the sun glare effect suppression.

Option to hide Sun Glare grey out. This is experimental and a last minute addition -currently this also hides G effects and the background box for the paused text.

Seems like I missed the last part as I was just reading the manual, not the pinned thread. Thanks for the HU.

No worries. I should have looked it up. Makes sense to approach the forum threads as the more current source of information.
