xpx has the best night lighting in the simming bizz

Nights in xpx are the best in the simming bizz imho. If only the daytime didnt drive one to commit suicide from depression.

I'm shelving it until something like ASN and/or rex comes to xp. VFR daytime is just not up to standard compared to other platforms. Clouds and stuff are really important when doing vfr, night time lights not so much.

But indeed, amazing shots. When i still did tubeliners at night xpx was the goto sim.

You've heard or read about SkyMAXX Pro v2?

Skies and clouds look breathtakingly good in XPX with this essential addon:

I have sm pro 2, as well as photoreal scenery, osm, world2xp.

SM pro is a texture replacer, while it is friggin awesome, the stuff it has to work with is lacking. ie the weather engine in xp. Bumms me out bigtime, because xpx runs incredibly fast and smooth and is a modern 64 bit platform. Other (some older) platforms just look better in daylight for now. (but perform less)

EFASS (fantastic flight planning tool for XPX) contains "UltraWX" which is a weather injector for XPX. It's not perfect, but normally, it gets updated quite frequently. (although right now, the developer seems to be gone for weeks once again...). I had some very nice weather (including the most realistic overcast situation I've ever seen in any sim platform) on my most recent flights with SMP v2 and EFASS doing their thing!

hmm, i'll try efass again. Was put off a bit from efass, read all over that the developer was gone/ inactive
