December 1, 201411 yr  Hi All, I would like to superimpose FSX aircraft on 'actual' photographs. For this I need FSX to display only the aircraft on a white or transparent background. So how does one disable FSX from showing all scenery? There must be a line of code somewhere that can be tweaked to achieve this. Thanks in advance for your solution, which is much appreciated! Best, Lucky
December 1, 201411 yr Could only think of a poor man's solution. Pick the lowest water settings, set up a colour for water which can easily be 'picked' and then fly (over water, obviously). If reflections get in your way, you can set them to zero (should be the effects detail in the sim) or just render the water very blunt with free tools like this one. http://www.strikingsoftware.com/fswc.shtml
December 1, 201411 yr Thinking along the same lines as CoolP, try going to slew mode and then go to the map and set the altitude to 20,000,000 feet or so. You'll still have some stars to erase but otherwise it's pretty easy to remove the background. Barry Friedman

December 2, 201411 yr If all you want is the plane, so you can cut it out and paste it over a real photo, why not just load the model in Model Converter X? You can position it the way you want, you can set the animations the way you want and the background is a solid color (that you can set) which would make removing it from a screenshot easy. You can get MCX at www.fsdeveloper.com regards, Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
