December 18, 201411 yr Hi everyone I was wondering if anyone could check something out for me It does need you having the VFR Scotland Scenery Volume 8 from Playsims installed I am finding that if I depart from Glasgow Airport (EGPF) and then turn onto a heading of 150 the simulator will crash with an error after about 15/20 mins It doesn't matter what aircraft you fly ... it happens every single time Could anyone with this scenery installed fly that heading for me and see if the same happens to them I am pretty sure it will ..and if anyone has already experienced this .. do you know the cure? Thanking you in advance Paul
December 18, 201411 yr Author I posted this message over two hours ago and I can't believe no one has even looked at this topic .... Is the forum not working properly?
December 18, 201411 yr Evening Paul I see your post - forum's working. I can't try this for you for now because although I do have Playsims VFR8 scenery I have had to uninstall it to make room on my hdd. I'm intrigued to find out more of why this might happen - I'm guessing you have a particular reason to fly 150 and not deviate slightly? If I re-install soon I will test this for you. langlai Best regards Rupert
December 18, 201411 yr Author Hi Langlai Thank you for your input .... For ages it registered no views and no posts .... I just went back to it and noticed there was 45 views and your post .....I can only think there must be some sort of lag I have tried this scenario many times and every single time it crashes .... Just wondering if its me .. haha I look forward to your findings No reason why I chose heading 150 ... just a random heading I dialled in ... and because the sim fails every single time I am intrigued to find out if anyone else comes across this problem Paul
December 18, 201411 yr Paul, why don't you simply untick the scenery in the scenery library, then fly the route to see if you still experience the same issue. December 18, 201411 yr Author Hi Altstiff I get the dreaded .. Flight Simulator ha s stopped working ... When I look at the problem it says that it's an 'app crash' The sim will not crash anywhere else apart from that heading of 150 ..... Just for the record .. the same thing happens in Prepar3D too Hi Rockliffe Hmmmmm .. I hadn't thought of that .. I guess that will be the acid test to see whether or not it's the VFR scenery at fault My hunch is that it is the problem!! Paul
