December 24, 201411 yr Author Ok and what about the fsx lens flare setting in settings display? Yes that's on of course! Would have been pretty silly of me! Intel Core i7-6700k CPU Overclocked to 4.50GHz - 16GB RAM, Nvidia Geforce GTX980ti 6GB, Windows 10 Home 64-bit
December 24, 201411 yr Commercial Member how about temporarily renaming one of the bitmaps in the texture directory. So for example rename flare2.bmp in fsx dir\Texture to flare2B.bmp. Then in DX10 see if you can see a translucent diamond or square. remember to rename it back after the test. My FSX Analysis Blog
December 25, 201411 yr Author Nope, doesn't change a thing. Just to confirm, you did want me to rename the .bmp file itself and not the text entry in the suneffect.cfg file yeah? Coz nothing happens when I do that, it's just the same! And Merry Christmas to you! ^_^ Intel Core i7-6700k CPU Overclocked to 4.50GHz - 16GB RAM, Nvidia Geforce GTX980ti 6GB, Windows 10 Home 64-bit
December 27, 201411 yr Capt Speirs reported exactly the same issue and his photos look identical to yours. Reverting to an older halo.bmp from a REX texture Backup resolved it for him so I am fairly confident that's the issue here. That's right and thank you so much Steve for helping me through that. AI Traffic lights are awesome now. Ric Elmore
December 29, 201411 yr Author I think I may start a new topic on the lens flare issue as it seems it's unrelated now. Hope that's ok Admin! Intel Core i7-6700k CPU Overclocked to 4.50GHz - 16GB RAM, Nvidia Geforce GTX980ti 6GB, Windows 10 Home 64-bit
