December 24, 201411 yr I have only found Linda in the last few days and have a small query which I think is an easy answer but for the life of me I cannot figure out. I have the Saitek Yoke (and Throttle), Rudder, Multi Panel and Switch Panel and I'm using FSX Acceleration, FSUIPC 4.937 and SPAD 0.5.0. I have the PMDG 747 so thought I would simply have to download the module developed by Pero and voila! I would be able to assign actions to buttons to my hearts content. Unfortunately, whilst the PMDG 747 is listed there are no options to choose from. I get the choice of Edit Modules and System Functions but under System Functions only "InitVars" is displayed where I was expecting to see a whole list of Functions. None of the documentation I have read seems to say that I needed to do anything else to get this to work (or maybe I am doing a "man read" much like my partner accuses me of doing "man looks" when trying to find something) Can someone please tell me what I have done wrong? PS. I installed Linda (2.5.5) to the root of the FSX Modules folder i.e. the path to Linda is C:\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Modules\Linda.exe Cheers Harry Cheers John Harris MSFS2024, Win 11, 7800X3D, RTX5090, 64GB, TM A320 Captain Sidestick/2 x TM TQ + Left/Right Addons, TM TPR Rudder Pedals, Saitek TPM, Saitek Multi Panel, Saitek Switch Panel, Saitek Radio Panel, 6 x Saitek FIP, Honeycomb Alpha/Bravo, MiniCockpit FCU/EFIS, WinWing MCDU, Octavi IFR-1, Spad.Next, TrackIR
December 24, 201411 yr Hi Harry Welcome to LINDA. I think your problem is that the 747 module has not installed correctly and LINDA is using the fallback module. Try reinstalling the747 module again. Make sure you drag the folder LINDA into the \FSX\modules folder; the LINDA-CFG folder is not relevant to you as you do not list a MCP panel. This should place the folder PMDG747-400_v1.2 in the folder \fsx\modules\linda\aircrafts. The key file with the programmed functions is actions.lua. Start FSX with the PDMG 747 aircraft and LINDA. Check that the top Aircraft box reads "PMDG 747-400" and click on FSX Sync. If you have something different, I will need to guide you further. To test that you have LINDA working correctly, select Joystick button and press any button on your Yoke to highlight a numbered line in LINDA. Click on this line and half way down the list you should see PDMG 747. Click on this should list the functions available to assign to that button. The only panel you may have problems with is the Multi-Panel as LINDA cannot output directly to the LED display. That should get you going. Let me know how you get on. December 26, 201411 yr Author Merry Xmas and thank you very much Scotflieger! That was indeed the problem. I had somehow ended up with a PMDG 747-400 folder when it was actually looking for a PMDG 744-400 folder. Anyway, I now see the required options, I just need to figure out how to get them to work with my panels:-) I will create a new topic for that. December 26, 201411 yr Glad to help. If you put any further queries about the Support section or under the 747 Module, I'll see what I can do to help.
