January 12, 201511 yr So I use this program in my day to day work when working on code and it is wonderful! http://winmerge.org/ I also use it for working on my fsx.cfg. Since we all know that opening you settings changes you .cfg and sometimes it is hard to find those changes. Your work flow should be: Save a backup of your favorite fsx-Fav1.cfg If you suspect changes have been made - Open WinMerge Choose you current fsx.cfg and choose you fsx-Fav1.cfg Then WinMerge will open both side by side and let you see the changes. Includes a handy bar down the left side to highlight where those changes were made. You can then click on the side/change you want to put back right click and choose copy right/left. Then just save. DONE It has helped me for years with work and fsx.cfg and best of all it is free. Rob"Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it"
January 12, 201511 yr Author Yeah I have tried many different ones but this one is the most user friendly and works well for FSX or P3D or SE for that matter. Rob"Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it"
January 12, 201511 yr Good tip, I've used diff checker before but it's not as functional. I'll have to check this out. Ethan Edelson
