dll.xml question

Featured Replies

I ought really to know after all these years flight simming, but will pairing down my dll.xml file help improve performance?  I have masses of addons with entries. Presumeably, all those items are modules of some sort that load when FSX starts?

I doubt it will help Phil. The entries are required for many addons such as the Addon Manager for FSDT which allows for the Addon Manager to show up in the FSX Menu and entries for PMDG, RAAS Pro, etc. If you are not using any entry in the dll.xml, you can disable it by changing the second line for each from False to True, save and it will not load the next time FSX is started. Still tweaking huh? LOL!

I have some set to ManualLoad true.   Then just select any ones needed during program initiation.

So you won't see a difference if your dll.xml has 3 entries or 15? Good to know
