VLAV/LNAV Keyboard assignment

Featured Replies

I'm trying to assign the V and L keyboard buttons to toggle VNAV and LNAV modes in the 737 and 777.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?  I have FSUPIC but I can't seem to find a way using that.

Also, is the a list of keyboard commands available anywhere?

Thanks

Don't use keyboard commands but PMDG aircraft CDUs do come with keyboard command customizations, to an extent. Check in there, it might have what you are looking for.

Thanks Karan - I've checked the CDU Keyboard menu and I can't find anything relevant there.

Hi,

Full names in that forum please.

PMDG setup > Options > Key commands > Autoflight > VNAV switch / LNAV switch (page 3/8 for the NGX and page 3/7 for the T7)

Is it what your looking for?

Yes, that's it - Thanks.  I should have looked harder!

Hey - welcome to the forum. I'm glad that you were able to get your question answered. In the future please sign your name (first and last) to your posts per the forum rule. Thanks!

As for the no name signing...  What happened to RSRs sticky saying that "This requirement is not optional, nor is it up for debate." and "First Offense:  Removal of your post and a warning which will remain active for 60 days"

There are many posts recently without names being signed.  Why not enforce the rule to everyone like we were told time and time again?  It seems that if there is a legitimate question, its OK, otherwise the post is deleted.

I can certainly do that, but I doubt anyone would like that approach. Plus, if you had taken a second to look, you'd see that this guy has 8 posts total.

How about that?

"Hey welcome to the forum! *SMACK* Here's some warning points along with deleted posts. Hope you stick around!"

While it seems that you have read the original post, it doesn't seem that you've taken it to heart, despite having quoted it:

"This requirement is not optional, nor is it up for debate."

This would include how we choose to enforce it.

In this case, I chose to be a bit lenient because the person is new. Everything I do (or don't do) from a mod perspective has a reason. I'm sure the rest of the mod team here would have acted similarly.

And that people, is what being an authority figure is all about. Remember, it is all relative...
