May 30, 200521 yr Hello! As the author of that review i feel it is my duty the point out some very IMPORTANT facts.Since the review, Ariane has put out the lates offering of the 700 2Di.I have been planning for a while to do a new review, because that fact is that the first review will not stand correct against their 700.They have implementet much more features and corrected several things i have pointed out in the review. Some points of interest is that systems are more complete,FMC is more complete.Only point i would complain about is that Navdata seems to be little uncomplete at the moment. However, compared to PMDG as many would do, i would NOT agree on the comments above.Ariane is working with the pricing, and the latest package from them contains more than the first release.I.e. the pushback addon which is a great addon.I would agree that the pricing scare many people of buying it, and i have commented about it to Ariane.Anyone planning to buy it, i would advice first to get all opinions on it,fore and against. There are to many people just banning the aircraft for the sake of it, commenting on previous ariane history.I advice not to pay much attention to it, as this in my opinion would be misleading in any case.Ask people who own it, and had the experience with it.If they also own the PMDG as i do, of course they can make comparisons between them, and hopefully they will give you a good view of what it is.Scan the forums, and you will see that more and more people stand forward ,telling this is a good addon. This might sound like a litte pro-ariane opinion ,and you might conlude however you like.I think the ariane is the superior addon when it comes to the feeling of flying the Next Generation 737.
May 30, 200521 yr Hello All, well, just a personal opinion, if you own it, then you are qualified to say it sucks, or it's great or it's just so-so. If you don't own it, then you should probably keep your opinions to youself. And that goes for any payware, not just Ariane . . . too many opinions from individuals who have not a clue what they are talking about.Opinions are like . . . er . . . nose's . . yeah, that's right, nose's, everyone's got one. I think you get the point.Best to all,Clayhttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...ers/Dopke01.jpgClayton T. Dopke (Clay)Major, USAF (retired)"Drac"
