Usually fsInsider.dll related crashes happen on FSX, FS9 or P3D on startup only.

Users have to make sure no anti-virus, anti-malware is monitoring "fsx.exe", "fs9.exe" or "Prepar3D.exe".

If Windows UAC is enabled, and you can keep it that way, you MUST install MCE to default C:\Program Files (x86)\ folder. No such requirement with UAC disabled.

Have never heard of fsInsider.dll causing FSX crash once it gets OK past the loading stage. But open to everything as you never know with software.

We take simulator stability seriously. It is the reason we will never run the memory hungry temperemental speech engine inside the simulator process via a grafted gauge in "Panel.cfg". That's why we adopted the following design...

fsInsider.dll runs in the sim, supplying MCE FO with situational awareness.

One and only one of the many dlls in <MCE dlls> folder is loaded for interacting with specific aircraft switches.

No "aircraft.cfg", "Panelcfg" or other simulator installation folder files are touched.

If you just rename "fsInsider.dll" to "disabled-fsInsider.dll", MCE which runs as an external process won't be able to connect to the sim. And you'd have your FSX back to pre-MCE installation state.

I can think of a couple of things.

Before MCE, your PC sound audio would typically only handle audio OUT. Now with MCE, and the speech engine that runs inside "mce.exe", you have more activity and the audio device should use a nice and stable driver. That could explain the crash after 5 to 10 minutes, especially if your rig is overclocked.

The errorlog also points to ai_player

"Faulting module name: ai_player.dll, version: 10.0.62608".

Are you using some AI package? which one?

No Ai package.

When FSX is trying to load the DLL, I get an warning that FSX has detected an error with this 3rd party DLL an asking if I want to run it anyway, If I choose no, Everything is fine.  I have no antivirus and I have disable UAC. My rig is not overclocked. This is fresh install of Windows 8.1 that was done a few days ago.

I am using ORBX FTX Global, FTX Global Vector ,ORBX Global OpenLC and FSUIPC

This is fresh install of Windows 8.1 that was done a few days ago.

OK good, that rules out a few things.

I assume neither P3D or FSX installation folder is shared.

Since P3D loads that same dll, we have to look at what might be different.

What is the path to P3D installation.

What is the path to FSX installation.

Have come across fsInsider.dll not loading with P3D until user moved simulator folder outside the heavily guarded C:\Program Files (x86)\ folder. I know, one would assume with UAC disabled, you have full permissions...

For now suggest....

Check "fsx.exe" is set to run as admin.

Try setting "fsx.exe" to run in Windows 7 compatibility mode.

Go back to downloaded unzipped file and look inside <fsInsider for FS9> folder.

You will find another fsInsider.dll file that is based on the same source code, only generated using an older compiler. File normally there for the odd user running FS9 on WIndows XP. Try it out.

If still no-go...

Go to FSX installation folder and open "fsInsider.ini"

Change "Debug=0" to "Debug=1" and save the file

Start FSX and load fsInsider.dll. Immediately after the crash, locate and send "fsInsider.log" to support.

File should be generated inside FSX installation folder.

Also, if comfortable with dll.xml file, you may want to edit it to get fsInsider.dll to load first, before any other dlls.

Thanks for your reply,  I already did the debug=1 in the fsinsider.ini but when FSX crashed , it  doesn't generate an fsinsider.log.  I am not sure it is your program causing the fault but when I load your DLL, it takes about 2 sec to crash.  It was working very well before the FSX crash. I did all the tutorial and I was having a decent experience.

I think I will completely reinstall FSX tonight and all my ORBX Library. I will try again P3D and see if it crashed again. I've use the trial for 14 days and I never had a crash so this is very unusual. That's why I bought it afterward.

Ok I just did the full re-install. I still get the crash about the fsinsider.dll with both version of the fsinsider. I don't  know what else to do at this point.

Are you running both P3D and FSX? Do you have th Estonia Migration Tool? If so, can you post the contents of your fsinsider.ini file?

I hope this can help you troubleshoot. I don't use any third party AI software

Thanks

Here is a bunch of dlls you can try out. Same source code, just different compiler options. Also generated using different compilers. Start with 26360. If that one is no-go use the next one etc...

One more try

Only one dll

Tested today with FSX-SE only, including latest Doveail update to the sim.

If that fails, will kindly ask you to get in touch with support. May need to investigate further, including possibly conducting a remote desktop support session.

OK, thanks

Will get back to you on this later on.

Meanwhile, suggest you backup "dll.xml" in

C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\ folder.

Then replace it with the same file found under

\Multi Crew Experience installation folder\Support\ folder.

Our supplied dll.xml file only references fsInsider.dll

Just in case entries above it prevent it from loading.

I did all that a while ago. Your application just doesn't work on my FSX. Its the only program on my pc that has that behavior. My FSX runs fine for hours If I tell FSX to not execute fsinsider.dll. I am actually exhausted of troubleshooting. I bought your application to use with PMDG 777 and now I am screwed. I am just going to take my losses here. I wasted 60$.

Thanks for all the efforts you put in.
