I have noticed that there is a permanent TFR (would it be a TFR if it is permanent?) just east of DFW airport for "VIP movement". It is this tiny little circle that only goes up to 1500 feet AGL. Does anyone from that area know what that is for? Is there a theme park there or something? I know both Disney World and Disneyland get TFRs over their parks.

ForeFlight is saying it's related to the POTUS. I doubt it's permanent

That's the George W Bush presidential library at SMU.  Probably why it's permanent.

 

EDIT:  Well now not so sure.  Looks like the library might be a little bit south of where that is.  Still think it's related though.

Yeah, George and Laura Bush live in the Dallas area, but also maintain their retreat in Crawford.

 

The TFR says "Ex-President of the United States" (XPOTUS).  Noteworthy:  There are two (2) Ex-Presidents named Bush living in Texas. Someday there may be three!

It says permanent on there and it has been established since January of 2009 which would make sense if it is for the previous president because that is about the time Obama took office.

Didn't even pay attention to the "2009" part lol
