Brakes Not Holding

Thanks Douglas -I already use AIRED but was not aware of the AAM program. Will give it a look see.

Anyone here in England will understand the term "talking a load of bollocks!" And those elsewhere can probably guess its meaning.Having tried a few tests I can certainly confirm that what I said above is a load of crap. Braking strength (as Douglas pointed out) in section 1101 of the air file does absolutely nothing whatsoever.Basically, within FS, there is no control over effect/strength of the parking brake. The toe brake setting the cfg file only affects the total stopping distance at any given speed..........I'm really sorry if anyone has wasted time based on my suggestion above.I'll crawl away and hide for a while :-outta http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...BANNER_PAUL.jpg

Hey Paul, Take it easy on yourself, it's easy to become confused with the differences in flight dynamics between sim versions. I've made more than my share of mistakes, and held (hold?) many misconceptions about this subject!:-) Douglas

Well Paul, at least you've made me feel a lot better for never having figured out a solution!

One problem which is not solved with many answers, is caused simply by having the "Idle Throttles" set too high. If you shut down your main throttles, and the aircraft creeps, an example is in the Kingair350... Pull the Idle throttles down about half way or a bit more. Just short of where the engine stalls. Then, I save the setup, by pressing ; saving it as "Basic Settings B350" or for whatever aircraft. Then check this as the default or "Previous Flight." Even when I shut the engines down, I restart them in this configuration. As my default is set to load the aircraft at my last destination, this works well for me. KISS = "Keep Implimenting Simple Solutions..."
