Pretty neat route. West Highland Way, Caladonian Canal, Ben Nevis, Loch Ness. Very nice that the North face of The Ben and the main gullies are clearly visible. Even if you've climbed in the Alps, you've got something coming to you if you climb there.

Yes hiking is good, lots of good weather but can often be too wet in the West. Climbing in the area is not only more difficult than usual because of rock and formation, but it's also more dangerous because it gets ice-thaw cycled. None the less it is one of the world's premiere serious climbing areas. The North face of Ben Nevis is very well represented in your shots. People come from all over the world to do that. Although not at such altitude, the climbing routes there are harder than comparable routes from the Alps huts, and the day much longer too since you go in from the road and it's over 4500ft. I've led most of the normal winter routes on there from -2 to number 4 gully, more or less all visible in your shots.

Very impressive description of the difficulties of Ben Nevis...I did not realize it's significance to climbing. Thank you very much!
