March 25, 201511 yr Well, legislatures always think that there should be just a few more regulations and laws for everything. Kind of justifies and validates their own existence. Unless its something they do personally, or it benefits them somehow, in which case they are abruptly all for deregulation.............. Last time I heard those brilliant minds at the top of teh european bureaucracy that supervises civil and commercial aviation were creating rules against flying near mountainous terrain, in such a way that is the only way a glider could fly using that source of lift ( appart from wave... ). Well.... Sounds about right. Who better to write the rules than somebody who has no clue what they are talking about? I always laugh at the decrepit old politicians here in the US that barely know how to turn on a computer, earnestly trying to legislate the internet, apparently based almost solely on which corporate interest group is paying them the most. Yup. I would laugh,,,,, if it wasn't so serious. We desperately need term limits, and some of these people need to woken up by their aids and gently escorted to pasture. But I certainly digress!! March 25, 201511 yr Author This whole thread started as a question on another forum about placing lights on sim-gliders. Its been a long trip, getting the answer! :t4013: We are all connected..... March 25, 201511 yr By all means, do it, fly your gliders at night in FSX, specially with ASN and CumulusX! helping to create an even closer to real environment :-) I've recently bought the Aerosoft ASK21, and although not exactly the real thing, where I accumulated many RW flying hours, it is still very rewarding ! Monnlight can help! It was actually about lighting within the ASK-13 glider for Cough* Outerra, which I know can be a controversial subject as to whether its is or will ever be a sim, but is very fascinating for me right now. We are trying to get things right, and things like lighting and FDM's are hot subjects on the forum. Based on the information from here, I suspect this plane will be lighted within the week.
