March 29, 201511 yr 2nd topic about this. No you cant buy a license from anyone other than an authorized retailer or PMDG them selves. If you buy it from a third party the third party is violating the EULA. Also you must sign your name as per PMDG forum policy. Follow me on : Instagram See my Trailer: A Year Of Flight
March 29, 201511 yr I don't think you can do that. Maybe with the boxed version... Wybe Witteveen VATSIM S3 Controller | Dutch VACC

Now I'd like to know if I can register the PMDG777 on my name? Probably he already registered himself. Thank you sincerely, Copilot. no Well, it depends if you're in Europe or not. There was a ruling made by the European Courts in 2012 that made the resale of downloadable software possible even if the license agreement says that transfer is not possible. This caused quite a stir at the time (as you can probably imagine!) So, legally it's apparently possible in Europe. Now, on the other hand, you've got to decide whether it's worth the hassle or not. I'm almost certain that PMDG wouldn't go to the trouble of transferring the license to you from your friend (and they're almost certainly not legally obliged to do so.) At the end of the day, the 777 is not too expensive when you consider the amount of hours you're going to get out of it. It's a better idea to just save up the full amount and buy it directly. It's still for sale at a reduced price until April 6th so I'd take advantage of that as soon as possible and buy your own license. That way, there's no hassle over licenses and everyone's happy.
