Just curious now that Tom has sadly passed away. Who owns site now etc....

His wife owns the site.  The Board of Directors run the daily operations (that's Chase, Chuck Jodry and me).

Tom wrote in his farewell address that there would be a further communication addressing the future of Avsim.  Clearly, things moved more rapidly than expected, to everyone's regret.  Is that communication still planned?

The Board has no knowledge of any future communication on the future of AVSIM.  That, of course, could change.  As far as we know, it's continue as in the past.

I'm confused. You have no knowledge of what Tom wrote in his last public address? Or he never told you the details of that planned "future communication" ?

Please take a moment and remember we all have lost a great man this past week.  We are very much still in mourning, and we apologize if the lack of further information has caused concern.  Fear not...

 

The Board of Directors is in direct communication with Tom's family.  It is the wish of the family, and the board, to keep AVSIM going full speed and to keep Tom's legacy going.  We will update the community with more information once the family and our community have been able to properly grieve the loss of our leader and friend.
