Permanent dashboard mounted GPS possible?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know (and how) if it is possible to permanently mount the gps onto the VC dashboard like the Orbx Vicra Airtourer (I have seen pictures with a GPS 296 on it's VC dashboard).

I know how to add it as a pop up panel, however I would like it on the VC permanently (if possible).

Many thanks for any help.

You would need a program like FS Panel Studio to do that.  http://www.fspanelstudio.com/

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

The product page features the GPS screenshot where the gauge sits on the glareshield so I would assume that the config tool coming with the plane enables this option.

The manual speaks of Shift+2 to bring this config panel up. Could be the option you were looking for.

No, it is not possible. The 3d mesh object for the GPS has to be compiled in the model file (.mdl) for the virtual cockpit.

This may only be done if you have the source file for the model, and the modeling software (usually 3D Studio Max), and...

...the knowledge and talent to use it.
