Which Payware 727?

Featured Replies

I know it's a simple question with 1000's of possible opinions, but I've got some cash to spend on another payware add-on. Now it comes down to which one - CS or DF? I can see already that I'm liking CS's panel alot more than DF's, but that's only one part of the whole picture...Thanks in advance for all your opinions...Scott

DF has customer support...

CS' offering is a few years older than the DF bird. plus the bugs CS wont fix and all the support you won't get make this an easy choice. Dreamfleet all the way! They are also going to come out with a free upgrade that features the winglet version!

>I know it's a simple question with 1000's of possible>opinionsNot really :) There's only 1 answer possible: Dreamfleet 727I have both, and DF is much, much better

Dreamfleet. The Captain Sim is a nice package, but it's older, and the newer Dreamfleet 727 just blows it away. Yes, the CS 2D front panel is more photorealistic, but the DF panels are actually easier to use (the flight engineer panels in particular), the systems modeling on the DF is better, the VC is miles better, the documentation is better, the sounds are better, and most importantly of all, the FDE is MUCH better. The DF 727 is a great plane to just take out and hand-fly.Lewis "Moose" GregoryRichmond, Virginia

Nice! 4-0 on this one! You guys basically made that one a no-brainer!One last before I go - is the 707 worth it, and how many of you guys bought Lago's MadDog & were happy with it?

But it suffers from:1. Bad main panel logic. (Autopilot doesn

Just my 2 cents, I own lots of payware and probably the most fun and rewarding is Dreamfleets 727. Captain sims panels look nice but are extremely tough to use because all of the gauges are so small. As others have said Dreamfleet beats CS's 727 by a mile. The 707 by CS is already off of my hard drive. It is very buggy and CS have responded by not offering support what so ever. David

How does the exterior model compare to the CS 727, I too am thinking about getting the dream fleet package, if only it had an FMC, or if there was a payware FMC you could put on any plane, it would be perfect. (And yes I know 727's didn't come with FMC's when the were built, blah blah blah)Jeff

Jeff,The whole point of the 727 is that you have to do everything by hand, however I fly over water with it sometimes and I installed Civa's INS which is basically a fmc. Many 727's were outfitted with the unit. I have to warn you though that it is a strange piece of equipment if you are really use to a modern fmc.DavidLink to the INS:http://www.simufly.com/ins/

If you are interested in flying in FS a 727 which looks real, sounds real, flies real and has everything it takes to get the job done just like a real 727 then there is only one choice.THE DF 727 IS THE ONLY CHOICE TO MAKE.Best,Clayhttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...ers/Dopke01.jpgClayton T. I can only second what my fellow simmers said.If you want the most flawless FS product, get the Dreamfleet 727. It is beautifully designed, the FDE is simply the best I've ever experienced in FS, the sounds are breathtaking and and and.....Check out DF's 727 forum, you won't find any complaints!!! This has to be the most complete release for a MSFS product ever...and no, I'm not working for DF :-)Cheers,Petehttp://members.aol.com/pzsoulman/myhomepage/logo.gifAMD64-3400,1GB/2700DDRAM,WinXP(SP2),DirectX9.0c,Geforce6800(128MB)(Det.71.89), CH Yoke/Pedals

Get the DF 727! It does not fly like any bird that you have ever had and there is a learning curve, but the rewards are there if you take the time to read/study the manuals and handbooks. A great piece of software!Tom
