May 31, 201511 yr I have been using the 737-NGX for about a year with no difficulty until I had to reinstall for using with FSX - Steam. Now, for some unknown reason it will not engage the Autoland feature fully. On approach I only get a CMD notice in the PFD window and the Vor/Loc doesn't indicate "Rollout: any longer, but the G/S (when captured) will indicate "Flare". Also, it is generally late to capture the GS. Sometimes at 400-600 AGL (also when connect is late the CMD B button will not engage), or sometimes not at all. I do not ever get the Land 3 notice. I am aware of the required settings to engage the Autoland feature (ie: both radios/course settings/HGS etc). I wonder if I screwed sometime up on the install for Steam? Or, did I miss something in the update info that says this has stopped working on purpose? And, yes I have tried it with regular FSX and the only time the results were the same. I have decided that I will commit to Stream at this point since w/PMDG 777 the virtual memory works a little better. Latest Flight: KJFK Rnwy 4L - KALB Rnwy 1 Transition CIRRU TOC FL210. May 31, 201511 yr Check your autoflight settings in the FMS aircraft equipment options, verify you have selected autoland:fail operational. Try using Ctrl+F and typing autoland in the introduction document and see the several items that might be of interest to you. There are several threads here discussing the two autoland modes and how they look on the PFD. Dan Downs KCRP
June 1, 201511 yr Author Thanks, Dan My system was not set to fail operational, but fail pass. I will try that tomorrow and hope it is the fix I need. I don't think I changed that setting, so perhaps it is the default setting. Anyway, I appreciate your help. Joe Parker - KHGR
June 1, 201511 yr A lot of those type of settings are "per livery" so if you set if for one it may not be in another. Check the operations center, aircraft specific settings. Steve McNitt
June 1, 201511 yr Commercial Member I don't think I changed that setting, so perhaps it is the default setting. As Steve mentioned, the options are set per livery. Please have a look at the intro manual. It explains this, why it's done, and the vast array of options provided to you and what the options change/allow. Kyle Rodgers
June 3, 201511 yr I believe, in addition to Fail Op, you also need the Collins MCP selected and ISFD selected for Standby Instruments
