Flight Toolkit 1.1.15

Featured Replies

I'm crossing my fingers that this finally fixes all the LC and WC mapping problems.  As I mentioned in a different post, there are still issues with autogen, especially in the southern hemisphere during the winter, but that problem will be a little more time consuming to fix.  If you notice any areas where the LC is wrong, please include a picture and the location (you can copy the lat\lon from the SimDataEditor while Flight is running)

Fixes:

- Corrected many LC mapping problems

- Corrected many WC mapping problems

Steve - you're on a roll! Keep going. I'll report back once conversion is complete. ^_^

Converting without manually uninstalling FSX World beforehand still fails for me because apparently FSXWorldAutogen0.pak is already in use by another process.

On the other hand, the LC mapping seems to be perfect now! I didn't spot any mistakes anymore.

Just checked Sacramento - all texture mappings seem to be correct (parks no longer appear brown)!

Checked all problems that majuh was having and all three locations seem to have no LC problems and Stuttgart has the correct background!

Did you close Addon Manager before running the conversion? Use Task Manager and close any programs associated with Flight before running.

I usually run the AddonManager after installing a new version to verify the Toolkit has been installed correctly, but then I close it again. I'll check my Task Manager the next time I convert FSX content.

Everything looks great to me but are we still missing some bridges and buildings? I thought Steve fixed that or did I miss something?

Just finished running 1.1.15, and all went flawlessly! :excl:

Took it for a short burger run and a flight over Sac; and all is good. Will post if I find anything.

Awesome Steve, thanks ever so mush. B)

Generic bridges aren't being converted yet.

Thanks, Majuh

Ran into the same "FSX World being used by another process" issue.  After disabling it again, the conversion ran great on the 2nd attempt. Up and running on 1.1.15 !!  Thanks Steve for all the hard work.

Awesome job, Steve!

I am running Windows 10.  First try I got the "FSX World being used by another process" as reported above.  Second try went without a hitch, and everything I tested looks good in-game.

One thing I noticed is the conversion log file is only 1/3 the size as compared to v1.1.12 of the toolkit (went from 15 MB down to 5 MB).  Is this expected?

Thanks much!

I managed to find an anomaly at the Gorges du Tarn: At the south entrance (44.203164, 3.217852) there is a strange Savannah texture, while at the north entrance (44.362672, 3.436055) farmland covers the canyon. In FSX though, in both places the canyon walls are covered by forests.
