August 13, 201510 yr I'm another one that never gets any OOMs, but I know why, I use default scenery with the exception of UT USA and UT Europe, and this is flying the Airbus A320 series. My VAS is around 2.5 Gigs 99% of the time. I am positive that If I start purchasing add on sceneries and airports, OOMs will be sure to follow. Not rocket science. By the way, for the people that do have OOMS, has anyone tried this suggestion in this video I just saw this morning? Yep. I use it on every single new airport and aircraft I buy. It has allowed me to crank up other parts of my sim and not have to compromise so much on other add-ons like UTX 2.0/GEX World. I am quite pleased with the results. August 14, 201510 yr Just did a flight with the PMDG 772 from UK2000 Heathrow to Aerosoft Mega Madrid, and landed with just under 1GB of VAS remaining; not bad for such a notoriously memory-hungry airliner. That was with 25% MyTraffic v6. No tricks, I just use only FTX Global with OpenLC EU, and ***NO vector product***; if I had FTX Vector or UTX2 I would have almost certainly OOMed if my past experience is anything to go by. I do not really lament the lack of 3rd party vector as I fly 100% airliners. LOD radius I leave at High, with Scenery complexity at Dense and both Autogens at Normal. My advice for OOMers is try disabling all your FTX Vector/ UTX scenery layers to see if that makes a difference, it certainly does for me. This morning's PMDG 777-300ER flight FlyTampa OMDB -> UK2000 EGLL Free VAS: OMDB at gate ~1GB Cruise ~1.3GB EGLL at gate 0.63GB Used the autocruise feature and no reloads necessary. FTX Global Base + Open LC EU. MyTraffic v6 @ 25% airline ASN with REX Soft Clouds
