July 29, 200520 yr Hello all,I was running through some old Floppy disks (remember those?) that I found in the bottom draw the other day and re-discovered a copy of FS3!Yes it fits on one...that's one HD floppy disk and it runs in win2K and XP....its brilliant. So I decided to go and find my old copy of FS5...this time two floppies successfully located, but it won't run :(It will install, as long as I take the default C drive option, but then I get an error on start-up ....Fatal Error 039/+00939Has anyone ever got it to run in XP?I'd like to try just for the fun of itRegardsMark
July 29, 200520 yr Mark,Fs3? Newbie stuff! I recall having Fs2 from Sublogic and ATP which was brilliant!
July 29, 200520 yr I have 5.1 running under Windows XP. Or rather, not ... it runs in DOS, of course, outside Windows. I was reminded of that when I tried to take a screenshot for you (ah, what memories it brings back) but normal Windows screen capture wouldn't cut the mustard, of course.Mark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a] _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM

July 29, 200520 yr Surprised to hear you could Run FS3 with Windows XP. I was able to run all versions FS1 on up but it required emulators and a bit of tweaking. Did you get sound? Was it pretty jerky?.. stutters?

July 30, 200520 yr I have maybe 20 or 30 5.25 floppies with data that I can no longer access because I do not have a drive. If anyone is willing to copy these onto 3.5 or a cd rom, please leave a message. I would be willing to pay a reasonable fee. Thanks...Sherm

July 30, 200520 yr Sherm,Where are you?I'm in the UK and still have a 5 1/4" drive installed in an old Win 3.11 machine for just such occasions.I haven't used the drive in quite a while, but it was fully working last time I needed it.I haven't got any disks to test it with though, so I can't be sure.I'll try for you if you want to give it a shot. Once the data is off the disk I can easily transfer it to CD.RegardsMark
July 30, 200520 yr hi Mark...I'm in Chicago...UK is a little far for this project. But, thanks anyway...Sherm
