Two questions :

I can`t get the initial departure brief phrase (vous etes pret ...) and “ cockpit pour le sol“ recognized. Are there any trigger words ?

I get the corresponding approach brief phrase recognized, I see it in the green window. But nothing happens.

If I repeat it in english right after that, it works.

 

Of course French Copilot is selected. I use Windows 7 with english speech recognition.

Any ideas ?

You speak french ? Du bist deutsch.

It's just a question of pronunciation.

Yes, I`m German, so English and French are not my native language. Of course I`m not perfect with French. No problems with English and parts of the French voice set. Anyway, ok, I`ll keep trying.

 

But for the second question : If I see the complete approach briefing phrase in the green window, it has been recognized, so the Copilot should respond ? It`s for sure working correctly ?

Be sure that the mute function is not active. If it is mute you still see you phrase caught by the speech recognition but no action from the FO.

The FO should essentially say: "Go Ahead" after you say say to the effect, "Are you read for the approach briefing".

 

Pls double check the manual for the exact phrase.

Let me try to explain again.

 

I speak “vous etes pres pour le briefing d`approache“ and I see exactly that appearing in the green window.

Nothing happens.

If I speak immediately afterwards : “Are you ready for the approach brief“ , I see it again appearing in the green window.

And the Copilot responds.

 

At the end of the briefing, I speak “ d`autres questions ?“. Appears in green window and Copilot responds correctly in French.

 

Hence my small doubt if the above French phrase gets handled correctly.
