September 17, 201510 yr Hi, Is there a prop sync switch and if yes where it is located?. Thanks Real Deraps
September 17, 201510 yr I finally bought it, not yet flown it much, but I have not seen a prop synch switch. My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.
September 17, 201510 yr There isn't one. It's mentioned in Marlons review http://www.avsim.com/index.php/_/reviews/aircraft/review-carenado-pa31-navajo-for-fsxp3d-r3176 I ran through the checklist in preparation for our departure and I was surprised that many of the items covered on the checklist can indeed be checked and verified in the virtual cockpit. The only exception I found was the fact that the takeoff checklist made mention of prop sync, but this aircraft did not have a prop sync feature. Carenado mentioned that this was an inconsistency with the checklist and the aircraft they modeled the PA31 after. Shame then they didn't model out of phase prop sounds, that would have been a great touch...
January 28, 201610 yr I'm new to the Carenado PA31 and in fact, have not even flown it yet. However, I do have the PA31-310 POH and checklist. Curiously, the POH has very little reference to the prop sync. While it is listed in the checklist (Before Takeoff/Landing), I'm unable to locate any description in the 'Normal Procedures' or 'Supplementals' sections. Moreover, I can not locate the prop sync switch in any of the cockpit diagrams. I believe Carenado models aircraft based on whatever they have access to. In other words, if the specific aircraft doesn't have a prop sync or any other component, neither will the modeled product. I'm not certain this is true. Hopefully, someone can confirm. In any case, is it conceivable some PA31s were not equipped with prop syncs? Les Parson
January 29, 201610 yr I think prop synch was like air conditioning, optional items for extra cost. In the case of this Navajo, it was built without prop synch and that really does not bother me. January 29, 201610 yr I do not recall a prop sync in a few charter Navajo's I flew in the late 70's, was not a necessity unless the governors needed maintenance. A Colemill Panther conversion model I flew for a few years had a synchrophaser that matches both rpm and blade angle rotation. The four bladed Q-tip props were very smooth and quiet, reminded me of flying a turbo prop. The ends of each blade had a 90 degree bend like winglets so common on airfoils today. https://www.dropbox.com/s/14rucp2oxntj71i/Navajo%20811HW.jpg?dl=0 Gary Stewart

I really wish FSD had given their PA31 a full overhaul for FSX/Accel, but they have said they would not be doing such a project.
