September 19, 201510 yr Hi I am not sure if this is an FSUIPC, Saitek or P3D problem, and have also posted on the FSUIPC forum. Have recently purchased FSUIPC and am making good progress recalibrating. Am running P3Dv2.5 and have Saitek Yoke/Quadrant/Pedals. Have made buttons and axes assignments in P3D Controls and have calibrated in FSUIPC. However in the Quadrant Y and Z Axes (assigned to Engine 1 Mixture and Engine 2 Mixture) when I pull the levers all the way back to CUTOUT, the Y Axis triggers LANDING GEAR UP/DOWN and the Z Axis triggers VIEW CHANGE. Since I have done no assignments in FSUIPC, I have checked the P3D Controls assignments for an accidental setting of these two axes in this position to LANDING GEAR and VIEW CHANGE assignments and can find nothing. Any suggestions? September 19, 201510 yr Just use Fsuipc for all of your axis and button assignments, this will save you a lot of trouble and allow you to fully utilize one of Fsuipc's best features, The individual profiles for each aircraft that load automatically with each aircraft Turn off the controllers in the sim, Fsuipc can handle these things much better.
September 19, 201510 yr Hello Mike, You could also try this : redestinate in FS the Mix 1 and 2 levers to : no function ; that will do. (btw : I had exactly the same problem !) Cheers, Ben Ben Rikken, The Netherlands
September 19, 201510 yr The saitek throttle quad, when you pull the levers all the way back triggers a "button press". It is possible those "buttons" are being automatically assigned by the sim. As others have said the cleanest way is to uninstall any saitek software and disable joystick in the sim. Program everything with FSUIPC and using Profiles you can have a seperate set up for every different aircraft type you own. Peter Schluter
September 19, 201510 yr However in the Quadrant Y and Z Axes (assigned to Engine 1 Mixture and Engine 2 Mixture) when I pull the levers all the way back to CUTOUT, the Y Axis triggers LANDING GEAR UP/DOWN and the Z Axis triggers VIEW CHANGE. The microswitches at the end of these Axis are sending the G and Z keypresses, you will need to track these down in the P3D controls if you insist on using P3D control assignments. You will forever have a world of pain if you continue to use a mix of P3D controls and Fsuipc controls. Choose one method and stick to it, my advice is to do everything within Fsuipc as this gives you much more flexibility and access to many more internal P3d controls. The P3D controls section is absolutely of no help if you fly a range of addons, unless you particularly enjoy reconfiguring hardware between different aircraft types.
September 19, 201510 yr Author Thanks to all for the suggestions. I was able to find the REDUNDANT button assignments in P3D Control settings and eliminate them. I agree that it would be best to do assignments and calibration in FSUIPC, but at this point (I am fairly new to FSUIPC) I am comfortable with calibrating but find assignment to be complex as there are so many different values in FSIUPC that I do not know what are the equivalents of some settings that I have set in the sim: for example I do not know what the FSUIPC equivalent is for FLAPS INCREASE (AND DECREASE) INCREMENTALLY. September 20, 201510 yr Have made buttons and axes assignments in P3D Controls and have calibrated in FSUIPC. Mike you can only calibrate an axis in FSUICP if you have assigned that axis in FSUICP. Edit: Sorry Mike I am of course wrong on that. Did not realize that you could assign in the sim and calibrate in FSUICP. gb. YSSY. Here you go, this is for buttons or keys , if you assign an axis as flaps or spoilers the correct number of detents is automatically set by fsuipc
