FSDT KDFW FSX ATC never clears for take off

Recommended Posts

After you are given instructions to taxi, do you turn on the taxiway arrows to the runway or the position where you have to hold short?  If you are holding short in the wrong spot, you will not get clearance.  Sometimes I have taxied to a runway and held short on the wrong side.   ATC does not acknowledge my presence.

If you open the ATC window you can see the prompts change (or not) and thus know if you have arrived at the expected location.  That could provide a major clue.

Hi I know this thread is really old, but I just wanted to confirm that I installed ATC pro X yesterday, and I have the exact same issue, in multiple locations. I get cleared for taxi, am told to line up, and then nothing. In one case, but this was a small local airport, I just took off and all went as normal afterwards. So, to cut a long story short, I think this is not related to any particular scenery, but a bug in ATC pro. It is linked, I guess, to the known issue of not providing guidance on the taxiway to use - because that leads to "improvisation", and to lining up in the "wrong" spot.

Finally, I noted the "taxiway arrows" point mentioned above - is that the function in FSX? I suppose not, but I have not yet found it in ATC Pro...
