October 19, 201510 yr Hi, Here is the link to my latest video: I think you heard that a lot of times: You are CRAZY  I love it.... Great work!
October 31, 201510 yr I have a 32'' Asus 4k monitor and it is STUNNING! But I really should try P3d on my TV (Samsung 65'' 4K curved). But I guess my gf will kill me as soon as I set up my PC next to the TV :Shame On You: Edit: I should set up a Full Flight Sim in our living room - she will LOVE it I guess This is my dilemma ! I think my livingroom Samsung 78" 4K Curved is amazing with P3Dv3. Drag in a very comfortable Ikea poäng chair and Ottoman, TrackIR, xbox360 wireless controller and I'm in heaven. Unfortunately I have to share the TV. :-( I never considered I'd have to talk the wife into all day shopping sprees and take the night shift, drinking Redbulls to stay awake. I am now considering a 27" IPS monitor on the side as a bridge between shifts. Not sure if I should go with a 1080p and save some money, or go 4k ??? I think 4K is certainly necessary with large screens but not sure about monitors of 27" size. Any suggestions ? Cheers
November 2, 201510 yr Why not go 1440p? Good point. 4k may not be neccessary for a 27'' monitor. But 1080p is so 2010
November 5, 201510 yr I have picked up 2 new monitors to try and find 1 that best solves my problem, (stated earlier) ASUS VN289H 28" 1920 x 1080 (30hz,60hz and 75hz). Found this for an amazing price $250 CAN. The idea here is to go low rez a complete departure from 4K Met a guy the other day who really new all the monitors and he suggested this for FS. Features: Eye-care function with flicker free and blacker blacks. ASUS PB287Q 28" 4K 1ms, 30-60hz $649.00 CAN Has the same Eye care features. The other reason other than 4k would be as a second monitor and moving windows between monitors. I'll test both with my new hardware build and post my impressions. 6700K @4.8 16GB DDR4 2 x GTX 970 SLI Cheers Steve
November 8, 201510 yr Well after trying both 28" monitors the 4K is much better. An obvious and predictable conclusion. What was surprising is the little difference in fps performance between the two. Same settings basically, Rob's 4k. As well later I felt that the 1080p required 8xsgss to give me satisfactory visuals. My most significant observation or conclusion however was how GREAT !! , P3Dv3 runs and looks on my Samsung 4K Curved television @ 60hz. Anyone wondering or contemplating if these types of high end 4k televisions work well, I really believe they do with P3Dv3! Performance is the same whether 28" or 78" . Colors appear to be just as good if not better and the 4k resolutions and larger screens really add to the immersion. I'll keep the 28" 4k as my second option when the big screen is busy. Cheers Steve
