October 15, 201510 yr Do you not know you can get a refund and then purchase v3...?......! Well, there's your chance. My biggest problem is having wasted my money on 2.5 just 5 weeks before v3 was released :-/ I will not pay again for it, until v4 ( preferably announced as 64 bit ready ) becomes available. I was satisfied with v2.5's performance, but actually reverted back to FSX:SE because i decided I wouldn't pay again for my PMDG NGX and my A2As...
October 15, 201510 yr Author Commercial Member That is the only drawback to PD3,,,the vendors,,or at least some of them,,look at it as a way to really overcharge us. I mean common the PMDG 777 for 140 bucks? Paul Grubich 2017 - Professional texture artist painting virtual aircraft I love. October 15, 201510 yr Wow. That is a comparision I am very much interested to see. I really moved to FSX SE and I love it. Can you post some pictures or video if possible to see the difference. Thank you Bilal Asif Khan
October 15, 201510 yr Hi Paul, I run FSX SE in DX10 would you say that P3D is now better or would the milage be well not the same of course...but just better all round. I can run the AS Airbus ok and use UT2 ASN various big Airports, no low level stuff. Like you I have had other versions but they went back due to issue with well in my case...lets say it was not fluid...as it could be..it was very poor on side views and banking which kills immersion. I am keen to have another go but LM refund is a one time deal whether this is per version I am not sure..so I am reluctant to jump again but may do the months trial. I only run a i7 2600 oc 4.5 970 4gb 16gb mem so it may not cut it. But if it is starting to become that much smoother it will be the way forward. All the best Mark I think you should and would be pleased with the performance and the overall experience going for P3Dv3. Still - some Aerosoft airports needs to be updated but even the memory management is worth the money in my own opinion. Your CPU is not the newest I7 but your graphics is top notch for medium to high settings in P3DV3 for sure. Expect at least the same FPS with medium settings (aka=high settings in FSX) i would say but much more eyecandy in P3DV3 (based off course on my own experience) just a little side not-. Smooth experience has ALWAYS been much better in P3D in my opinion and for most people so it could just be a driver or a setting that you just needed to adjust. Michael Moe Michael Moe

Michael Moe Thank you Michael, Very kind of you, it sure is tempting, I will probably do the months trial to see how the sim sits on my system. Agree the CPU is long in the tooth..but the other half has been on a spending spree.....moving house...so any chance of an upgrade gone for now...ouch! Much appreciate the feedback... Back to the decorating! Many thanks Mark

If I were you, I would return v2.5 and get v3. That way you get all of the updates for the next couple of years, but you might want to hurry before your 60 day trial runs out.
