Reinstalling FSX-SE

I am thinking about doing a reinstall for FSX-SE but can't find any information on their website as to how it can be done. I have found with addons purchased from them that if you disable it in your Steam account and then remove the scenery it will reinstall it again when you next start the sim and it updates. Can anyone tell me if that works for the whole sim???

Or is there a different or better procedure to use?

Thanks

Ian

Yes: just choose delete local content to delete the game. You still own it though, and can reinstall at any time.

One of the major pluses of FSX:SE is that you can so easily (re)install it.

First of all, uninstall any third party stuff.  Steam will not do that for you.

In your Steam Library view, simply right click on the title to bring up a context menu; choose 'Delete Local Content...'.  Once done, I'd go into the folder where it used to be, and delete anything that's remaining leftover from third party installers.

As Devon said, the game will still be in your library, so you can always find it in your Library view, right click on it and choose 'Install Game...'

You'll also still have to reinstall any simconnect versions.

As someone who's currently reinstalling all my EU Orbx stuff, I really wish that Orbx had Steam installers for everything.  I'd love to do a one click install on all that stuff!!!
