November 2, 201510 yr Sorry if I am asking in the wrong forum, but before I type in my license key for active sky, I need to know if I should install it in my p3d directory, or in a separate folder? Thanks for the help Install it in its own folder. I think it will default to \program files(x86) on your system drive. There are some components that do go into the P3D folder, but the installer will do that automatically. November 2, 201510 yr Yes what Jim said^^^ I have always done it this way and it works fine, but when I was installing the new build of ASN, I decided to install in a separate folder beside my P3D folder. Basically what I done was, before I ran the ASN installer, I went to my P3D location and created a new folder beside my P3D folder and called it ASN, then directed the installer to the folder. Everything went fine and works perfect. I have installed the GTN 750 + The trainer (goes with the GTN 750) this way as well, using a separate folder for The Trainer of course, also works perfect, The only thing is though, when you start the Sim for the first time after installing the GTN 750, you will get a message and a box will appear saying " please point the to installed location of the GTN Trainer, just click to the location. After you do that, it works flawlessly. I find it great having all your folders in the one place instead of them stretched across 2 different Drives. As far as I know Ezdok only allows install in C/program (86) files.
November 2, 201510 yr Depending on what space is like on your hard-drive. I have my ASN on a 3.0 external drive and it works fine. Ian S
November 2, 201510 yr Install it anywhere you like, EXCEPT for the P3D or C:/program (86) files. I have mine on my E:drive in a folder named HiFi. Jack the Swede in Spain Jack J Jackson Castalla, Alicante, Spain
