Just flight L-1011 Pro vs Captain sim L-1011

Featured Replies

Hi, I was wondering and I know that this has been discussed some before, but which versions (Just flight PRO or captain sim) has the most complex systems? Also which is closer to the real L-1011?

Thanks

I bought both and find the CS L-1011 is the better of the two.

Just Flight's PRO is a bit more complex, but they have made some strange design choices e.g. there's no NAV2, FO's HSI is a clone of the Captain's HSI and tied to NAV1.

I still like the Captainsim product though, Very nice eye candy model/textures and decent systems complexity.

"I bought both and find the CS L-1011 is the better of the two." "Very nice eye candy model/textures and decent systems complexity." +1. I think the JF has a better sound set (TSS, which you can upgrade the CS with), some helpful 2D popup panels, and a rudimentary but updateable FMC option. Still the CS is the clear winner in my book. Of course, both come up for sale at deep discounts so it's inexpensive to buy both.

I don't have the Captain Sim 1011 but I can say that I wasn't really captivated by the JF version and hardly ever use it
