December 24, 201510 yr Hi folks, Please have a look at the pics below. Deleting the shaders didn't help. Any clue? December 24, 201510 yr Hmmmm ... that's an interesting one ... ran a quick test and I wasn't able to duplicate this ... I get single moon reflection. Is this a fresh clean install of V3.1? Cheers, Rob.
December 24, 201510 yr Do you have Rex textures? 9800X3D@H150i // Msi RTX 5090 Trio OC // 64GB DDR5 6000mhz CL30 // 2TB + 1TB Nvme Dell 27" 2127DGF - 1440p - Gsync - 165hz Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick Airbus // TCA Quadrant Airbus // TFRP T.Flight Rudder Pedals // Logitech Flight Multi Panel

December 24, 201510 yr Author Hi Rob, No, a clean uninstall/install of the client only. Hi ca_metal, Yep, I reverted back to P3D default texure using REX4 interface and that did the trick! That's interesting since I didn't have any REX water texture nor wave animations enabled but clouds only. Thanks both! :--) Edit: Hi Ed, thanks for your input. - PC Hardware: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D // Asus ROG Crosshair X870E HERO // 2x32Gb Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5 6000MT/s CL30 // ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC Edition // 4Tb Corsair NVMe M.2 MP600 // Corsair 1600W PSU Samsung Odyssey Arc 55" curved 165 Hz monitor. - Simulator Hardware: VIRPIL Constellation Alpha Prime + VIRPIL VPC Universal Control Panel - #3 + MOZA AY210 Force Feedback Yoke + WINWING URSA MINOR 32 Throttle & PAC Metal + WINWING SKYWALKER Metal Rudder Pedals + WINWING Airbus FCU & EFIS + WINWING Boeing 3N PAP + WINWING MCDU-32 + WINWING PFP-4 + WINWING PFP 3-N + WINWING PFP-7.
December 24, 201510 yr Moderator The REX DX9 textures produce that "ring" effect and the moon reflects off each ring. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
December 24, 201510 yr Author Hi Vic ;-) No DX9 textures, everything was DX11 Enabled. Very weird indeed. - PC Hardware: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D // Asus ROG Crosshair X870E HERO // 2x32Gb Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5 6000MT/s CL30 // ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC Edition // 4Tb Corsair NVMe M.2 MP600 // Corsair 1600W PSU Samsung Odyssey Arc 55" curved 165 Hz monitor. - Simulator Hardware: VIRPIL Constellation Alpha Prime + VIRPIL VPC Universal Control Panel - #3 + MOZA AY210 Force Feedback Yoke + WINWING URSA MINOR 32 Throttle & PAC Metal + WINWING SKYWALKER Metal Rudder Pedals + WINWING Airbus FCU & EFIS + WINWING Boeing 3N PAP + WINWING MCDU-32 + WINWING PFP-4 + WINWING PFP 3-N + WINWING PFP-7.

February 1, 201610 yr I get the exact same result when I installed REX Essential Plus and use it with Prepar3d v. 3.1. Regardless of which REX wave animation I select the result is always the same similar to the photo attached above. The black bands appear to be waves and depending upon where you are in relationship to the sun (or in this case the moon) the light is reflecting off the top of the "wave". I've tried unchecking the REX wave and ocean water settings but nothing changes. Nor do using different REX wave animations if I leave them checked. I do not have this problem with REX Essentials and FSX. I will note that a file is created each time I start Prepar3d labeled WaveConstantsV3.xml in the same location as the Prepar3d config file. I've tried to change the name to a .bak file and even delete it and a new one is always generated. I suspect this may be the culprit but not sure.
