The installers of the same version are the same regardless of distribution channel. PMDG download or Aerosoft box same thing.  You can use the download expansion package.

Yes and no...

 

Yes, you can mix the two. No, you cannot install the downloaded 300ER on an out-of-date 200LR/F. Get the update for your boxed version here:

Uninstall ANY version of the 777 you have currently installed for FSX / FSX:SE, then install ONLY the installer you downloaded from Aerosoft. From there, you can install the 300ER on top of it.

The update fir the boxed version however returns a page "Time out..please refresh the Page..!" after the serial Key has been entered. Any idea how I get around this issue.
