Was wondering what you guys are using for your pre-rendered frames via Nvidia panel or Inspector?

Running v2.5 here. I keep it at 3. Don't really see a difference at other settings. If there is, it's negligible.

I use 1. Seemed to have made a difference in making the sim more smooth when I utilized this setting.

Does'nt this setting only work if Vsync is Forced Off? I seem to remember a reference that said if you used Vsync (on, or 1/2 refresh rate, 1/3 refresh rate etc) then the application would override this setting?

I actually have Vsync Forced Off in NI, as my monitor does a great job with panning without tearing (so I get some extra frames with it off) however I keep pre rendered frames to default as I found that 1 caused stutters in turns or approaching a complex 3rd party airport.

Probably another YMMV!

I use 1.

Me too, but just because I have read it in the "TIPS section". To evaluate any difference (improvement) would be very subjective though.

Chris

I use 3, Lowers fps, but reduces stutters. But then am running @4.84Ghz so don't really care about fps hit cause of this setting.

I imagine it must help those stutter approaches with heavy scenery.

there is a huge thread on this forum some months back, where folks were sharing results on pre rendered frame setting, might be worth your while going back a few pages to check that out.
