January 20, 201610 yr Sascha, I am in a flight over the coast, somewhere in Argentina. I have been checking out your new updated 2016 textures for EVO2015/16. For the world below me to be on a flight simulation platform of over 12 years old, and...to see what I have enjoyed...so enjoyed over the last few days of running EVO2015/16...well, I can't tell you in print. You'd have to see the massive smile on my face with each flight. The latest autogen buildings, airport autogen, clouds, water---the water which is a very important aspect of any of my flight simulators...water that now has long wave swells, white cap depictions, water..that was a major weakness in FS9, BUT NO MORE....Sascha, you have totally, transformed FS9, like no other previous world replacement package, ever. A fellow user was right...South America is absolutely gorgeous! Mix in the new water/ocean along the coast, as I am now in this flight...and it is simply as far as FS9 can go, I imagine...and Sascha, your work is superb! Hearty congratulations..and seriously, you truly need to be recognized by some sort of AVSIM achievement award, as you are not a commercial developer, but a fellow hobbyist, that decided for himself, that FS9, CAN achieve better...you tested the waters...and the result is magnificent, Sascha. My most hearty congratulations for a full FS9 makeover. Add the Spring Seasonal textures you are going to deliver...and the world is complete. South America looks FS9-fabulous...the Great Lakes looks fabulous...and I will have a ball, soon going to the Rocky Mountains at the west coast, to check out your new mountain textures. You should be recognized by the AVSIM staff for this project...night/dawn/day/ or dusk, it has totally re-birthed FS9. Mitch
January 20, 201610 yr Well that is really very nice of you to say so! I tried drawing swells on the ocean textures but you are the first person to mention them Sascha Rieger | EVO Developer What is EVO • How to get Evo 2016 • FS9 Evolution Forum
January 20, 201610 yr Author Well that is really very nice of you to say so! I tried drawing swells on the ocean textures but you are the first person to mention them Well..Sascha...I view all with a critical-to-function 'eye'. As soon as I placed the new water textures, I saw darker moving swells across the water, followed by FS9's animated smaller wave texture. It looks amazing! Then, when the sun angle is right...I see your white wave caps...so...totally awesome, man. I'm having a blast exploring all that you have done, sir! You need to have water at full, for effects to show. Well done...well done! P.S. I also like the color depth/plankton effect you did...should mention that.... Cheers, Mitch'er
January 20, 201610 yr Impressive! I reinstalled FS9 some days ago and want to try this EVO package, what I have to do? Is it better to install it in a FS9 naive installation (without UT and Ground Enviornment)? Riccardo OS: Windows 10-64 bit, CPU: i7-7700K @4.20 GHz, GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 8GB GDDR5, RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 32GB 3000MHz, MB: MSI Z270
January 20, 201610 yr Author Impressive! I reinstalled FS9 some days ago and want to try this EVO package, what I have to do? Is it better to install it in a FS9 naive installation (without UT and Ground Enviornment)? You're gonna love it! I suggest you also use UT, but with ONLY Major Roads and Major Roads lights. No other roads checked on. That way you will get full max, EVO autogen 3D lighting...and what lighting it is! All other UT enhancements can be used with EVO2015/16. I think that Ground Environment will conflict, but Sascha could give you the answer for that. This pic is taken at 4,000 ft. Mitch
January 21, 201610 yr Yes, Ground Environment and Evo are mutually incompatible. Both replace default textures. You can pick elements from each to get a personal mix for a region eg only use Evo forests or deserts same as with other texture addons.
