January 30, 201610 yr Author Hi all, I'm currently flying a BHX - CFU, at FL350, the TAT is -30, wind is a TW @ 25knts, and the same thing happened, I turned my wing and engine anti ice on and the speed when back to normal. Why would I need WAI all of a sudden when its not been needed in the past? Joe Joe Colehouse

Joe You normally would not encounter icing at FL350 with a TAT of -30, but if enabling WAI fixes the problem, it does seem that icing is the culprit. Possibly ASN is injecting "severe icing" into the sim for some reason. You can go into the ASN setup menu and turn the icing simulation off, to see if that helps. January 30, 201610 yr Hi, So the speed drop was indeed due to icing. Why didn't it happen before? Here are some different leads that you may investigate: _ Update or change of weather software? _ Flying in different areas? (some areas are more subject to icing than others) _ Flying in different seasons? _ Flying different aircrafts? For exemple the T7 has a fully automatic anti-ice system so you may fly in icing condition without noticing it if you don't monitor carefully the parameters (TAI indications on the upper EICAS) I don't remember for the A320 I haven't flown in the sim for a while but the NGX has a manual anti-ice only so you have to manage it yourself. I haven't changed anything that I can think of, that would cause such issues Joe Colehouse
January 30, 201610 yr Have you updated ASN to SP4.1 as there seems to have been a problem with icing in SP4. http://www.hifisimtech.com/forums/showthread.php?5169-Service-Pack-4-1-Officially-Released&p=27935#post27935
