Looking for a hot military aircraft for FSX

Featured Replies

I need to blast off to space.

LOL

I'm looking for a military jet, preferably payware or free, doesn't matter that would allow me to climb really high, like above 70k msl, etc

or even higher.

anything out there like that?

I don't need the guns/radar stuff so much .. I just want to take off and head for the stars and to see all my great scenery from really high up.

Ciao!

Well, since you "don't need the guns/radar stuff so much", there's always the SR-71 (alphasim_sr71_free.zip) right here in the file library. It's a "a complete aircraft re-package of the Alphasim SR-71 freeware version."

I agree with Slayer - the X-15 from xtreme is a rare package - fun, very high quality visuals and effects, very educational if you want to do everything manually with very comprehensive systems, very fast to whatever altitude you want for sight-seeing.

Milviz will eventually come out with the best extreme performance high altitude flyer - and by a large margin - their SR-71.   That will be a while I think though...

You have just described the USAF X-15 program. No guns, no radar, fly into space over and over again using the absolutely latest add on technology for FSX and P3D. A very knowledgeable support team also.

Checkout the Avsim review of the newest X-15 from Xtremeprototypes. It just doesn't get any better than this one.  The VC and systems depth is out of this world. Manual is even better.
