Performance on this system

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am thinking about buying this setup:

AMD FX 8350 8-core 8x4.0ghz
Gigabyte FX990
GeForce GTX 960 2gb
Coolermaster B600 (600 watt)
Coolermaster Hyper 103 cooler

The system price would be 724 euro..

I have a couple of SSD`s that i would build into this system and i would use Windows 7 64 bit as the OS
So how would FSX perform on this setup, with mostly medium settings?

Thanks in advance

It will probably run alright... but all the advice I have seen here, is to get an i7-4790K CPU for FSX.

So why buy something different?

It is because this system is cheaper than the i7 systems, (on the sites i visited anyway)

I know that the i7 processors are the way to go but i can`t spend more money than around 800 euros

Thanks for the answer btw!

Don't bother, the cheapest Intel system you can find will wipe the floor with it in FSX

Should be fine, as long as you're not running add-ons. That's what eats up performance these days, not FSX by itself.
