March 3, 201610 yr Hi, When I enter my flight data in the FMC most of the time all goes well, v1, vr, v2 are calculated and shown on the display. But in some cases, the display still shows No Vspeed in yellow: I start looking around, clicking, but no way I can get the speed bugs to show... What did I do wrong? March 3, 201610 yr Did you set the speed reference knob to AUTO? It's next to the autobrake selector. David Chen

March 3, 201610 yr What did I do wrong? Use the PDF search feature for FCOM2. Maybe you will find your error that way. Michael Cubine
March 3, 201610 yr Author Did you set the speed reference knob to AUTO? It's next to the autobrake selector. Hmmmm.. I saved the situation where the spd bugs did not show. I took off anyways, and during the flight I peaked at the forum. Switch was not on auto. Set it on auto, completed the flight. Loaded the "no spd bugs" situation. Behold, spd bugs showing. %&%*%??? best regards, Tony Asus ROG Laptop [email protected] 16Gb GTX950M 4gb 2x Samsung 850 EVO

That was ... interesting. lol If the "speed reference selector" can be used to manually set the v-speeds. For example you can rotate the outer knob to V1 and select the desired speed using the inner knob. Same goes for Vr, V2, etc. Only when it's set to AUTO, the v-speeds from the FMC are displayed on PFD. For more info you can check FCOM v2, page 593. David Chen
