October 2, 200520 yr I just wanted to bring up that although these visual models are fantastic, all three variations of their aircraft are apparently using the default 737-400 air file and cfg files. The first line of the air file was changed in each, and the word "400" was removed from the second line. The cfg files were seemingly adjusted for the models, but otherwise appear identical.I know many may not care, but I believe that this should have been mention somewhere in the "sales pitch". I have even read compliments in other forums about "how well the aircraft handles" etc. Not saying it was intentional or otherwise. But, I would have thought twice before buying it (and I may still avail myself of F1's generous refund policy).Thought others might like to know.Joe Lorenc Joe Lorenc
October 2, 200520 yr Just use the airfiles from the FFX 737's they work fine. I am using a modified PMDG one and its great. The default was not so decent IMHO. There are lots of air files running around which wil work just fine IMHO.Hornit
October 3, 200520 yr Maybe someone can help me out with this. It looks to me like they're charging $15 for a bunch of liveries. No panel, no gauges, no flight dynamics, just liveries. If that's correct, what's the point? I gotta be missing something.Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. October 3, 200520 yr complain complain complain. if you are going to complain this much go and pay 21.50 for the ariane 737 model that come sith one plane, one livery, deffault sounds and panel, with fair fdes. there is really no difference here between the two. i think that you are getting a better deal with the 50 one because there are over 30 liveries avaible on the 50 site and updates along the way for a v cabin and a 2d panel for free to those that have bought the plane. Some people these days!

October 3, 200520 yr You seem to be whinning as much as anybody. Doug's question is not out of line, in my opinion.I suppose the visuals are worth the money. BUT I feel the flight model issue should have been made clear up front. Joe Lorenc Joe Lorenc
October 3, 200520 yr I like PMDG's 737-800/900 the best-the visual and interior models, VC and flight models are great (plus the liveries are great-even it has Virgin Blue) and extra ones are freeware).
October 3, 200520 yr I have to agree - I spend a lot of time fly the PMDG 700 series.Joe Lorenc Joe Lorenc
October 3, 200520 yr The PMDG visual model is nice - but I wish it had wing-flex like the freeware Posky & iFDG jets. Im still hoping PMDG will have an upgrade *crosses fingers*Does the Ariane 737 have wing-flex?
October 3, 200520 yr the ariane models do not have winflex that i am aware of. I am 99.9 percent sure that they dont have wingflex
October 3, 200520 yr Thanks John. I didn't know about a panel option in the works. That makes more sense. And I really didn't give the .mdl files enough thought. Now that I've reread the list of features I can see why 737 fans would like this release. Off topic, is your 3.2 a Prescott? If so, what heatsink/fan are you using? My trusty 3.0C just died and I replaced it with a 3.2E using the Intel HSF but I'm looking for some additional cooling.Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. October 3, 200520 yr Gee, I'm glad you let me know me know I was complaining. And all the time I thought I was just looking for a little more info.Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. October 3, 200520 yr Its not that it is good or bad, but there are significant differences between the classic series. For example, max takeoff weights can vary by as much as 14,000 lbs. Probably more significant, the engines vary considerably. The 300, 400 and 500 static thrusts are 20,000, 23,500 and 18,500 respectfully. So even if they were flying at the same gross weights, there would be differences in climb rates, takeoff performance etc.A lot of good info is at http://www.b737.org.uk/techspecsdetailed.htmJoe Lorenc Joe Lorenc
October 3, 200520 yr Joe,Actually it was stated at Fifty North site that no panels are included, only exterior model.
